There are many different applications for the PALPharma range of machines in these areas. GMP is relaxed in some cases due to the final product being transferred into packaging in enclosed systems. However there is also packaging in Sterile or Class 1000 rooms so GMP can also be a big factor. Therefore the IBC or drum is lifted and can be docked or inverted onto the relevant machine the post hoist (PharmaHoist or Pharmamove) is most widely used to dock a PharmaBIN typically. Once the tablets or powder or liquids are into these final stages of process the whole range can be used to suit any particular requirement. A PharmaVac is used to palletise boxed product in an ergonomic and user friendly manner. The PharmAssist can be used to load caps, bottles and pills into relevant hoppers on the packaging line. Simple trolley systems are available to offer assistance for loading heavy reels of foil or polythene onto the mandrels. More complex PharmAssist type systems can be designed to lift rotate and insert the reels onto the machines. Recently containment has been an issue with regard the powder/ tablet infeed into these machines and glove boxes are increasingly being utilised for a highly contained transfer into the machine.
